One of the biggest paranormal events on the East Coast takes place in Martinsburg, West Virginia, this July at the historic – and haunted – former B & O Railroad Depot known as The Roundhouse.
Organizers expect the “Eastern Panhandle Paranormal Conference,” known as the “Paracon,” to attract attendees and vendors, including psychics, mediums, book authors, jewelry merchants, various types of crafters, and many more. This year’s Paracon – which replaces the event known in previous years as “Oddfest” – kicks off on Friday, July 20th, with special after hours investigations at The Roundhouse and at the equally notoriously haunted Apollo Theater and Adam Stephen House a few blocks away. Two day general admission passes are available for $20, which includes access to most of the main speakers and to the vendor area. The nighttime investigations on Friday and Saturday evenings require an extra charge of $40 per person and only those over 18 are allowed to participate and investigate with one of the speakers, all recognized experts in the paranormal field.
